Area collectors and designers will showcase their home and garden wares at Design Harvest on Saturday and Sunday. The event takes place on Grand Avenue between Damen Avenue and Wood Street in the Ukrainian Village.
The 25th annual Little Village Festival kicks off on the city’s Southwest Side Friday.
The free event features food, music, carnival rides and arts and crafts all weekend at the intersection of Kostner Avenue and 26th Street. Additionally, the festival will serve as the final destination of the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade on Sunday.

Roscoe St. in Lakeview; and the 9th Annual 79th Street Renaissance Festival, Saturday on 79th Street between Racine Avenue and Loomis Boulevard in Gresham.
