Mayoral challenger Willie Wilson drops $1M in campaign coffers

Dr. Willie Wilson, who is running for mayor in Chicago’s February election, personally contributed $1 million to his campaign on Monday.

Wilson made the contribution ahead of the planned launch of three campaign TV advertisements, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The mayoral candidate had previously made loans of $100,000 and $50,000 to his campaign on Nov. 26 and Dec. 17, respectively, according to Illinois State Board of Elections documents.
