Mayor Rahm Emanuel on Monday said the grid-based graffiti-removal system he implemented in February 2012 has allowed city crews to cut the response time to residents’ cleanup requests by 46 percent.
Department of Streets and Sanitation graffiti-removal teams' response time for residents' requests dropped to an average of 3.62 days between June 1 and Aug. 10, according to the Mayor’s Office. Teams’ average response time during the same period in 2011 was 6.75 days.
