Representatives from United Here Local 1, the union whose members include hospitality workers at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel, appeared before the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Board again today to ask for its help in settling an ongoing contract dispute over raises and back pay.

Workers have not received a new contract in five years, according to the union. One man employed as a cook at the Hyatt told the board that he is having trouble making ends meet without a salary increase.
