City on pace to meet Affordable Housing Plan goals for 2013

The city is on target to successfully complete its fourth Affordable Housing Plan, according to a report released Wednesday by the Chicago Department of Housing and Economic Development.

The Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners approved at their monthly meeting on Wednesday the sale of $193.6 million in tax-exempt bonds, $50 million of which will finance the agency’s capital improvement plan. The remaining $143.6 million will be used to refinance outstanding debt obligations, according to a copy of the bond sale ordinance.
