Hawks on parade. It seems like most of Chicagoland skated downtown for the Chicago Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup victory parade and rally Friday. Were you boxed up at work? No harm. Crain’s has a photo gallery of the action.

Mr. mom. Chicago Department of Public Health’s startling ad campaign that depicts shirtless teenage boys sporting belly bumps has caught many people’s attention – and rightfully so. The local campaign has received coverage in publications across the country, including E! Online and San Francisco’s SFGate.com. London’s Daily Mail even has a story about the campaign on its website. The health department reportedly chose the provocative images to remind young men that it takes two to tango.

Full house. Wrigleyville Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) began moving into a new ward office on Thursday – and he will have a couple of roommates in his new home. The alderman is sharing the space with U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley and Illinois state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, whose districts overlap with Tunney’s ward. Though Tunney’s Lakeview office will be closed through Saturday as a result of the move, his City Hall office remained open on Thursday and Friday.

Great apes. Two of Lincoln Park Zoo’s oldest chimpanzees celebrated their birthdays on Thursday. Keo – the oldest male chimp in an accredited zoo – turned 55, and Vickie celebrated her 50th. To mark the occasion, the duo was served 750-pound “ice cakes” filled with fruit and vegetables.
