Medical District Commission approves 2014 budget

The Illinois Medical District Commission on Tuesday approved the district’s budget for the 2014 fiscal year.

IMDC Chief Financial Officer Kim Michael Lee gave the financial report summarizing next year’s proposed budget, which she said is projected to increase by 8 percent as a result of ongoing growth and development in the district. Lee noted that several of the new projects that are scheduled for completion in 2014 should lead to additional revenue for the 2015 fiscal year. Operation costs over the last year have been within normal fluctuations, the CFO added.
