The Commission on Chicago Landmarks unanimously approved on Thursday the Chicago Cubs’ plan for a large video screen and advertising sign that would stand above Wrigley Field’s outfield. The endorsement is a major victory for the Cubs’ owners, the Ricketts family, who plan to use revenue from the signs to help finance their planned $300 million renovation of the ballpark.
