After street violence in Chicago wounded 39 people and killed four this weekend, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and city officials held a Monday meeting with community leaders to discuss efforts to combat the violence.

While briefly addressing the media prior to the closed-door meeting at the Chicago Police Department’s Bronzeville headquarters, Emanuel said there is no simple solution to reducing gun violence in the city.
