City Colleges of Chicago bonds receive positive ratings from S&P, Fitch

City Colleges of Chicago has received favorable ratings from two major credit rating agencies on $250 million in bonds it plans to sell this week.

Standard & Poor’s gave an “AA stable” rating to the 35-year bonds that the seven-college system will issue to support its $555 million capital plan, according to a recent City Colleges press release. The bonds received an “AA- stable” rating from Fitch.
