City Colleges of Chicago staff on Thursday presented an overview of the district’s 2014 commencement ceremony, which took place on May 3 and featured a keynote address from Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.

“This year [the ceremony] was pulled off so well, and so seamlessly, it didn’t feel like three hours,” said City Colleges Chancellor Cheryl Hyman.

The ceremony included the participation of 1,762 graduates, or 44 percent of the graduating class, according to Preston Harden, CCC’s associate vice chancellor of student affairs.
