Soldier Field ceremony honors veterans

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events held its annual Veterans Day ceremony at Soldier Field on a wet, chilly Tuesday morning.

A crowd of several hundred people gathered for the ceremony, which featured speeches from Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Gov. Pat Quinn. and Alderman James Balcer (11th), according to the Chicago Sun Times. Gov.-elect Bruce Rauner was also in attendance.
