Yelp to open Merchandise Mart office, create 300 jobs

Yelp, Inc. on Thursday announced plans to set up shop in the Merchandise Mart early next year and create hundreds of jobs.

The San Francisco-based business-review website agreed to lease 50,000 square feet on the Mart’s fourth floor, according to the Mayor’s Office. Yelp plans to move into the space in January and expects to hire up to 300 workers over the next 12 to 18 months, most of whom will work in sales.
