CHA Board awards contract for Roosevelt Square Community Center updates

The Chicago Housing Authority Board approved Tuesday a $4.5 million contract for the modernization of a University Village development’s community center.

Under the action, All Chicago, Inc. will make updates to the Jane Addams Community Center at 1254 Loomis St. in the CHA’s Roosevelt Square mixed-income development. The updates would allow the CHA to move property management and security operations currently housed in an adjacent building into the community center. CHA then plans to raze the adjacent building to make way for future development.
