Madigan takes in big haul for political committees on Sunday

Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan helped raise “almost a third of a million dollars” in political contributions on Sunday, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

The Madigan-led Friends of Michael J. Madigan, the Democratic Party of Illinois and the Democratic Majority organizations raised a combined $300,000 on Oct. 12. Health Care Council of Illinois was the largest single contributor, donating a combined $100,200 overall to those three political organizations.
