Rauner taps Sen. Kirk's media strategist for campaign efforts

GOP candidate for Illinois governor Bruce Rauner, after suffering from a series of recent PR missteps, has hired a member of U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk’s communications team to assist in his public messaging.

Illinois politics veteran Lance Trover said he will take a “leave of absence” from Kirk’s team to join Rauner’s campaign, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
