Frerichs, Cross go head-to-head in City Club of Chicago’s treasurer debate

Illinois treasurer candidates state Sen. Mike Frerichs (D-Champaign) and state Rep. Tom Cross (R-Oswego) went head-to-head during a Wednesday debate held by the City Club of Chicago.

According to an Oct. 7 poll commissioned by Reboot Illinois and conducted by We Ask America, Cross currently has a slight edge over Frerichs in the race. Forty percent of the poll's 1,083 respondents endorsed Cross. Frerichs received the support of 39 percent of the poll's respondents.
