Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce rolls out Small Business Chicago

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced the launch of Small Business Chicago, an initiative intended to help grow small businesses in the city.

Through programming designed to provide entrepreneurs with skills necessary to start a successful business and networking opportunities, the chamber hopes to promote small business development, according to CCC. As part of the initiative, the CCC will also offer one-on-one consulting at its Small Business Development Center.

According to the chamber, 73 percent of members who responded to a recent survey said small business growth should be one of the organization’s top priorities.

“More than 99 percent of businesses in Illinois are small businesses,” CCC President and CEO Theresa Mintle said. “Between our specialized programs and the SBDC, we are confident that the chamber is building a solid foundation for these businesses to equip themselves with the tools to grow and strengthen the local economy.”
